The Rust book gives us a great high-level description of traits, focusing on the idea of shared behavior. On one hand, traits allow us to implement these behaviors in an abstract way. On the other, we can use trait bounds and generics to work with any type that provides a specific behavior. This essentially gives us an interface to decouple the code that uses a behavior from the code that implements it.
